Dez Partlow-Greer: Pastor Sammy literally went above and beyond to make sure myself and my husband felt welcome. He took time out of his schedule to send me a welcome video. We came on a Sunday as well where they did a meet, and greet which was nice. We were able to talk with the pastor and his wife Brittany. We even saw some familiar faces which was nice. You are greeted in the parking lot, and when you get in the church. Also there’s free coffee. I love the small intimate feel. The church is held at the Athens cotton mill. Pastor Sammy said they come in early every Sunday, and set up the church. That’s impressive.
Daniel Edison: I started going here back in August (2022) and have been here since. They are very biblically sound and dont shy away from the truth. They stand firm in their theology. They have a great college ministry for all students and hold different events just for them. The staff and congregation are very welcoming and very inclusive on making sure you feel welcome. Highly recommend if you are searcing for a new church family.
Alisa Townley: We love this church. As a young family we were quickly welcomed when we originally began attending, and when we came back our second week, people remembered our names! This was a huge deal to us, and is only one example of the effort this community puts in to love on people and be the hands and feet of Jesus in Athens. We enjoy the scripture based sermons and feel like this church is one where learning more about and following Christ is the utmost intention.
