Compass Worship Center Church of God - Ludowici scott giannotti: Id like to give my testimony on Compass Worship Center Church of God, a true house of the LORD where the HOLY SPIRIT (HOLY GHOST) is ever present.
Pastor Byron teaches and preaches with a passion and intellect, tying the current events of the day, directly to the scriptures, proving the WORD of GOD, the Holy Bible is just as relevant today, as it was 3000+ years ago.
As a New Testament Church which emphasizes my Lord and spiritual Savior Jesus Christ, Pastor Byron does an excellent job referencing the points in the Old Testament which are consistent with the New Testament. In addition to the preaching and teaching, Compass Worship Center has a wonderful community of consistent attendees which welcome new people with open arms - truly.
On Sunday mornings (9:30am) they do a Bible Study with Brother Mike who is one of the most well-studied Biblical interpretive authorities Ive had the pleasure of meeting. His Bible studies are well prepared and he seeks engagement from those who attend, allowing for the spirits in the room to express their viewpoints without critique and allowing for the Holy Spirit to make whatever corrections/judgements it deems fit.
The church has special guest speakers from other churches and also carefully selects speakers from within the church community to offer powerful testimonies on how the spirit of GOD has helped them to overcome lifes challenging situations.
As a homeless man due to crime and persecution against me, not by my own laziness or self-destructive behavior, but due to an upbringing in a Satanic community, my life has been akin to that of Job and Paul. Ive had everything taken from me by jealous, envious people who serve the creature, rather than the creator, and Pastor Byron gave me a monetary donation from his own pocket on a very hot day where I was suffering, outside of church hours, and two weeks later I still have much of that donation left over thanks to a blessing from the Lord where I found shelter that same day, as well as a box of lentils and a few cans of tomato sauce at the donation box across the street and at Long County Library.
GOD is real, he is not a caricature, nor is he a genie who grants wishes, but when you "crucify the flesh and allow the spirit of God to flow through you," as Brother Mike taught me on last Wednesdays Bible study through Galatians 5:24, GOD will provide.
I recommend attending this church and becoming a member of this community because it is a LOVING church community, not a predatory community. This church deserves the support and service of those who can give of themselves to enhance this church and make it grow and expand.
I also attempted to visit the First Baptist Church for a Wednesday Bible study, which is posted on their board, but if it was happening, I dont believe so, because the churchs doors were locked at 6pm. I also attempted to visit "A New Beginning Church" which has two billboards on 84 on a Saturday where they claim to have a food giveaway every 3rd Saturday and walked 4 miles in the bristling heat only to find no food giveaway and the churchs doors were locked.
I want to note that I went to the YouTube for "A New Beginning Church" and found the Pastor to speak much too fast, with too much content to comprehend, even when slowing down the sermon to 0.5x of the regular speed. Try Compass instead.
Having INTEGRITY (doing what you say you will do) and being ACCOUNTABLE are what the Holy Spirit of GOD expects, this is why "The Commandments," at least in theory, were laid down. Every reaction has an equal or greater reaction in the physical and in the spiritual world. For example, if we seek to cheat our way through life, congratulations, we become a cheat in our habits. Sooner or later that habit will show up at the wrong time, costing us in our relationships. However, if we take life one-step-at-a-time, repenting of our mistakes, reconciling our knowledge against our wisdom (which is that which is eternally true) we will find ourselves making less impactful errors and taking lessons from losses, not just hits.
