Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church - Dahlonega Judy Layne: My husband and I have never attended a regular worship service in this church. However, our family of ten had a wonderful Thanksgiving picnic lunch outdoors under the covered tables by the woods! On Friday, November 27, 2020, our 2 daughters and their families attempted to meet us at Amicalola Falls State Park. The lines just to get in the park were very long, very slow moving, and a bit unexpected. We had seen your charming church as we drove along and decided to double back and eat there! Three of us came from Knoxville, TN (we had not seen them for 10 months). Five of us came from Johns Creek, GA. My husband and I came from Alpharetta, GA. We stayed there about 2 hours in the perfect outdoor setting for "social distancing" due to the COVID-19 virus. The setting couldnt have been better, and we felt very welcome. We thank you for the Christian hospitality we felt and enjoyed. From our entire family, we wish you a Merry Christmas!
