  • McKees Auto Center Inc - Tifton
Lifes Too Escort: If After all the reviews and you’re still considering them, do a google earth search for this place let that speak to your heart. My experience with McKee is nothing short of a nightmare I just wanted to wake up from. I was traveling to Florida and broke down 3 miles from the place in Tifton GA. 2007 Toyota sienna just in case you have the same issue by chance. Just felt like the fuel pump stopped working. I had called a few other places but this one had a tow truck. I spoke with Shane the lady that sits at the desk. She said “it’s 85 dollars for the tow and 60 dollars for to diagnose it. I asked if the 60 comes off the work they do and she said no. It didn’t seem normal to me and was the first red flag but because she said that they would look at it that day I agreed. Also I indicated to the tow truck driver it felt like the fuel pump stopped working. When pulling into the place with the tow truck guy my heart sank. There’s so many cars on the lot. That’s a second red flag and indicates to me that something isn’t right. After meeting everyone and they seemed nice I was able to calm down. They couldn’t diagnose it the first day so I ended up sleeping in the van. The second day the mechanic never showed up but I was assured things will be fine because the tow truck driver Darrell was there and could look at it. At the end of that day there was still no diagnosis or any answers. Only thing they asked was if it was the original motor. On day 3 of being there with no public restrooms and had my grandson’s birthday Saturday Shane told me I should get a bus home that they didn’t work weekends. Not even a possibility as I was traveling with my dog. I went to full panic mode. The stress and depression was real. Was able to hitch a ride but forgot my pistol in the van. Monday I had called to let them know. Shane said she would secure it however it would not be the first time she lies to me. After no update I called that Wednesday to get an update on the van. She said “they’re working on it” I had never signed a work order or anything giving them permission to do work to my vehicle. I asked about the weapon and she had forgotten all about it. It’s a wild emotional experience because someone could break into that van take that and wipe out someone’s family and I’m to blame because she didn’t want to care about anything customer based. I told her I need her to secure that and she said she would. I called back the next day to get an update and she said they would call when they figure out what was wrong with it. No call for a week so the third week they had it I called and talked to Darrell since he seemed to be the only one working on it. He said he got it going. I asked how much the bill was and he sent me to Shane. There’s a lot of posts here that say words like evil and very expensive. 941.42 was the total cost. Not really because I can’t afford that so I put on a card and that’s an extra 3.5%. I go down the following week to pick up the van. Not sure if they were trying to steal it but one of my hubcaps was missing. After they had it a month you would think done meant it was done. I popped the hood immediately seen a vacuum line was gone. Not sure if it was the owner or what but he doesn’t know anything about my van or what is going on in the shop and didn’t know anything about mechanics because he said it’s supposed to be like that. I argued because I’m no longer happy. I gave no permission to do work and I noticed how I was lied to. It was 314.00 to diagnose and that’s a lot more then the quoted 60 dollars. There was charges for sensors and gaskets that probably didn’t get put on my van. They were not the issue. In fact they never fixed the issue at all. They found my hub cap and they found my vacuum hose. However there is still a broken vacuum line connector and missing hose. The problem was the fuel pump resistor. Right on the firewall. This is how they “fixed it” in the picture below. They put a fuse in it. A 5 cent fuse that cause my fuel pump to run constantly and burn up leaving me stranded and back at square one.

Annette Gabriel: Im away from home on a road trip and needed to get help with my car after some mechanical issues. I found Christian Brothers Auto via Google maps, inquired and they were able to help me same day. Not only was the place clean and neat, but they have baked cookies in the waiting room and put a little care package of sweet treats in my car when they gave it back to me 2 hrs later. Kenny at the counter was incredibly helpful and they used great tech to keep you updated on your phone while you wait! What a great experience! I wish I lived in the area Id use them again for all my car servicing!

Drew May: Quality Work and Amazing Follow Up! I was referred to Quality Car Care by a local tire store. The were prompt and efficient but the part I needed was on back order for many months. They did a great job of following up on the part and gave me regular updates exceeding my expectations. When the part arrived I got a call and a quick appointment. Reasonable pricing and great service, cant ask for a better experience with this friendly and professional group of people.

Ben Johnston: I brought my 2015 Subaru Outback into Butler Automotive in Evans after the check engine light came on. They ran a full diagnostic and found an issue with the oxygen sensor. They replaced it quickly and even reset the system while explaining everything thoroughly. No more light, better gas mileage, and total peace of mind. Super efficient and trustworthy team.

Lee Pamela “Pam”: Was referred here by one of my husbands coworkers and they didnt disappoint. Got us in quickly for an oil change and was there less than an hour. We also got a quote on a set of tires for the used vehicle we just purchased. Fair prices. Awesome customer service from the first phone call to the in person visit. We will be doing car maintenance from now on with them on both of our vehicles.
Surrey Car Care - Auto Skills Center - Augusta
Road Warrior: Under the former management, this place was awesome! It went downhill immediately after the new regime took over last year. Ive had several vehicles worked on there over the course of about 5 years and never had a problem until the new clown in town took over. I wont be back until the current managers are replaced.
