Temple Jake: I have recently been going for about 3-4 weeks. I can say I really enjoy it. I was in searching of a new church and my friends told me they have been going to this one and I thought I check it out. I really enjoyed it. The music gets you in the flow of it makes you excited and want to keep singing words of praise! Pastor Tony just finished a lesson and soon or today we will be starting a lesson about Heaven. I’m looking forward to it!

Mike Jackson: The most unfriendly church Ive ever experienced. My wheelchair-bound mom & I attended a service. My mom introduced herself at prompt from Elder. At conclusion of service, NONE of members came over to introduce themselves to her. Their food bank operation is a farce. The so-called volunteers are too busy selecting the high-quality items for themselves. On days when they announce "No Meats," you can bet the alleged volunteers arent going home without meats; they dont even hide the boxes/carts theyve prepared for themselves. Go to restroom, youll walk past their meat-heavy boxes---or look around the corner from dessert table. One deacon (Harris) ,however, stands out for Godly service.

Dez Partlow-Greer: Myself and my husband visited for the African gospel celebration. It was very nice. They had refreshments in the cafeteria after the service (wasn’t a fan of how they didn’t have utensils and people were just picking up the food with their fingers). However everyone was friendly. It was our first time visiting the church, and it took us a while to figure out how to get to the sanctuary. I feel like it would have been helpful if there were greeters so we wouldn’t feel so out of place❣️

My family and I have been part of this community since 2017 and have been members almost as long.

Anitra Bearfield: I was a member from 2004 to 2010 and it is a great church, pastor Larry Forte is great and he is real and the congregation is great, they welcone everyone with open arms. I moved is the reason i no longer attend if I still lived in Athens I would still be going. If anyone is looking for a good church home New Freedom is one of the best.
