Callaway Brothers Azalea Bowl -
Callaway Brothers Azalea Bowl
Bobby Wood: Nestled inside Callaway Gardens one of the best places to visit is the Callaway Brothers Azalea Bowl. This unique walking path takes you around the park area to just show you how beautiful nature really is. This is a perfect spot to take the time to turn your phones on silent, grab the family and just walk in the peaceful splendor of all the Azalea’s and other plants that are on the trail. Then once you have experienced it with no distractions, grab that phone or camera because there are so many great spots for picture taking!
Dino Village - Pine Mountain
Dino Village
anderacpharmd: This place is GREAT particularly for parents of young children (ages 3 to 8). The area’s size is just right-not too large not too small. The parents can relax at tables beneath umbrellas as watch their kids play. The area is well enclosed by a large fence offering an additional layer of protection from young kids wandering off. The models are stationary but move their necks, tails, and make sounds. There is also a large courtyard/patio with tricycles/vehicles/little tyke cars for kids of all ages to ride-plenty of activity. Sprinklers spray on the kids riding the trykes to keep them cool. Also a large sandbox where kids can dig and search for fossils. Plenty of picnic tables with shade-they are not yet serving food but great picnic areas and you can bring food to the park. Entrance to the park is through the gift shop.
Callaway Fantasy in Lights - Pine Mountain
Callaway Fantasy in Lights
Steve S: We went on a Sunday Night to see the lights. There was medium size crowd of people. Weather was clear and temperature high40’s. We took the trolley and sat in the front seat of the trolley. The plastic front on the trolley kept you much warmer and shielded the wind, but decreased the view. The lights and music was as good as ever. We also let the grandkids play on the playground, play free putt putt golf, and did some souvenir shopping. We did find discount tickets. They were about $90 including junk fees for 4 people.
FDR overlook & favorite picnic spot - Shiloh

Maggie Carroll: This is one of our favorite spots in the park. The view here is beautiful. Its a great place to picnic, read a book or just unwind.
Wild Animal Safari - Pine Mountain, Georgia - Pine Mountain
Wild Animal Safari - Pine Mountain, Georgia
Trena Morton: Loved! Just 1.5 hours outside of Atlanta and easy to get to. We arrived as soon as they opened, and there was no wait and van rentals were readily available. When we returned an hour later, there was an hour wait time. The animals are used to the people, vehicles, and feeding experience which makes it super cool. The animals literally walk right up to the vehicle and eat out of your hand and my son loved it. You can drive your own vehicle, ride their tour bus, or rent one of their vehicles. The bus and rental vans cannot be reserved in advance and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You have to purchase their food to feed the animals, and it comes in 2 sizes. We purchased the smaller bag and it lasted through the driving tour. You can go through food pretty fast though, so keep that in mind. The walking trail is worth a visit. Perfectly sized for a quick walkthrough and additional feature for the park. It rained the night before, so the seats in the rental van were wet. They provided trash bags to line the seats to avoid sitting in soggy seats. I feel like they should lead with offering a dry solution when their vehicles are wet, we had to return to the ticket office to request the trash bags. Overall experience is great!

Lora Durrance: My daughter absolutely loves it here. She goes every weekend and practically lives there at this point. A great place to spend some time in the dirt.
F.D. Roosevelt State Park - Pine Mountain
F.D. Roosevelt State Park
L R: We have had such an amazing long weekend here I don’t even know where to start with the review! We stayed at 2 different sites in section 6 & they were both great. I would definitely not book in 2,3 or 5 if you’re tent camping bc it just feels like it far away from everything. The bathroom & shower area are exceptionally clean for a camping site. There was no hair in the shower or any real filth at all. I was super impressed with that & im very picky. Water was HOT! It was awesome. We hiked the two smaller trails & had a great time. Both were gorgeous & our family of 5 loved it. The highlight of our trip was def renting a canoe & kayak. We had a fun few hours fishing from the water & just soaking up the sun. I would say the canoes & boats need to be cleaned a little better though. My daughter ended up having a spider on her head & we had to clean it off a good bit before getting into them. But we had the best time paddling around. The park rangers were riding around & making sure everyone was safe, we liked that. I was surprised by how nice everyone followed the 10 pm quiet rule. everyone turns there lights off sharp & we had no noise problems at all . A big shout out to the main gift shop area. The older black lady was SO nice to us. Made us feel right at home & we appreciated her hospitality. The little book station outside the smaller shop was cute and we exchanged a few books during our trip! Was nice to have a playground close by! We went to the liberty bell pool on Saturday & we won’t return. It was pretty historically but the people there were not our type & so loud and obnoxious. Our kids even commented they wanted to leave because of it & they’re 4 & 6. We felt very uncomfortable & the pool water was FILTHY. We were very surprised by the high reviews there. Overall, this was a perfect 3 night stay & we will absolutely be returning here.
Long Point Recreation Area - Hartwell
Long Point Recreation Area
Marcela Serrano: Beautiful place to enjoy with family. The only bad thing is that at the entrance, it says that dogs are prohibited, and there are people who violate this rule. They bring dogs to bathe them, and many times, they leave them without the chain
Hartwell Main Street - Hartwell
Andy Brecht: Vist to city hall. Alot of empty space lol. Dont get in there very often but, good visit.
Lake Hartwell Wildlife Safari - Hartwell
Lake Hartwell Wildlife Safari
Brandy Martin: This place was amazing and we will definitely be back! They have so many options for way to go thur the Safari, you can dive your own vehicle ( I dont suggest thatthe animals can sometime cause damage), rent a vehicle or catch a ride on the community bus at certain times during the day! The staff was amazing and for an outside event they have a great restroom area. Great gift shop and customer care! The kids loved it and we will definitely be back.
