Straws BBQ - Sparta (GA)

4 /5 Chris Seay: Great little place to eat if you’re in the area. Had the chicken plate, chicken was good definitely needed a little more rub and smoke but I did like it wasn’t soggy and fatty. The skin wasn’t rubbery like most other places. Slaw was awesome, I really enjoyed it. The stew on the other hand wasn’t my favorite, not very hearty and was runny. I was in there amongst the other dawg fans and people down for deer season and enjoyed the wait staff and their friendliness. Will go back. Just not ordering the stew.

5 /5 John Ivy: Dont let their simple surroundings fool you. These folks know what theyre doing with BBQ. Generous portions of meat in the sandwich.The BBQ was very reasonably priced.

3 /5 Brookie Wilkens-Earle: Staff is friendly, bathroom is clean. We came around 3:30 hoping for some brisket or ribs, so they only had chicken, pulled pork, stew, and slaw. The young woman up front said brisket was gone by 10:30 every day because of construction crews. Understandable, but annoying. The meat itself was well cooked, it was my first time having vinegar based bbq and I wasnt a huge fan. The slaw was good, and I wasnt big on the stew.

5 /5 Rob Price: Best place to eat in Sparta Ga! Food was great, workers was very nice. Very clean place. First time I have ate here was today. And Ill definitely be back! Great job Straws BBQ

4 /5 Wanda Hinton: The service was excellent. The pulled pork was excellent. The baked beans with meat was excellent. The Brunswick Stew was watery and had no flavor. I would eat there again just wouldn’t order the Brunswick Stew.
