STARR Food Lounge - Douglasville (GA)

3 /5 Brian P: I really enjoyed this place the first time I went several months ago, I was not expecting the live d.j which was really good. He played great music. Theres also hookah there as well, ( try the orange, mint, & blueberry mixed) its really good! The food was amazing, the portions were really nice. The owner/head chef came out to greet everyone. Tonight (10/17/22) I decided to stop in and get the Cajun shrimp and Mac and cheese. It was very good however the shrimp had a little grit in it. Had it not been for that it would have earned another star.. but I would definitely give them another chance if I was in the area.

5 /5 Justice Carswell: My favorite restaurant right now!!!! If you in Atlanta you need to adventure out. The Chef comes out and greet everyone. I never took a picture with chef until now!!!! My food was soooooooo good that I couldn’t even eat bite by bite because I was enjoying every bite and taking a dramatic pause. I don’t know why this place is not the top place period.

5 /5 Mattie: As a neurodivergent individual, its rare for me to indulge in different cuisines due to the need for familiarity with the meals that I chose. However, this evening, I settled to take a leap of faith and can attest that I am absolutely gratified with this decision. The food was-zero over-exaggeration- one of the best Southern comfort meals I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Without a shadow of a doubt, one can tell that the chef and the rest of the team put their hearts and devotion into the meals that they lovingly cook. To start, the Blackened Salmon was absolutely divine and well-prepared, bursting with rich flavors with a drizzle of Cajun sauce that added a pleasant touch of onion, garlic, and herb-like tastes. I am honestly so glad that I asked for extra sauce. The creamed spinach was incredibly enjoyable, also having flavors of garlic and a dash of parmesan cheese that paired well with a fair amount of yellow rice. Lastly, there came six sweet, lightly charred, and deliciously caramelized Fried Plantains. I will be ordering from this restaurant again. I am waiting patiently for the day when they add drinks and desserts to their Doordash menu.

5 /5 Lyrically Grown: Maaan! Went to Starr Lounge last night & the FOOD… AMAZING! Had the Jerk burger… AMAZING! Thought it was a bit pricey until I bit it…Totally understand the pricing!!! Worth every penny! There was a live drummer there playing with the DJ which sounded AWESOME, we danced like college students and we’re waaay past college age! Not a big crowd which was perfect! Super cute spot! My fishbowl was straight koolaid, zero liquor but the food made up for it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!
