5 /5 Brittney Bullard: My family and I stopped in for dinner tonight while staying overnight in the area. Let me start by saying that I was raised on Louisiana seafood just outside of New Orleans, so Im selective about my seafood. Southern shores nailed it! We got the stuffed flounder with a side salad and cheese grits, the fried clams and shrimp with green beans, and our son got the chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese. The flounder was tender and delicious. They do use krab in the stuffing, but It was seasoned so well that it didnt even matter! The shrimp and chicken tenders were tender and flavorful. You could tell they were freshly battered in house! And the fried clams... the fried clams. I DONT ever enjoy fried clams because theyre always overcooked and rubbery, but my husband loves so he wanted to try them. Im so glad he did, because now I know I do like fried clams! Even our toddler enjoyed them and ate several! The serving size and price is unbeatable and the service is top notch. We were welcomed by several staff members and our server, Aundrea, was fast, friendly, got our order correct, and gave us recommendations! We decided to make Southern shores an annual tradition on our way through, so well see you next year! Thanks for such a great experience!
