4 /5 Tracey: Just passing through, we found this place on Google maps and thought the food photos from other patrons looked good. We try very hard to patronise local, family small businesses which can be hard to find nowadays. The food was authentic, plentiful and extremely tasty. Often Oxtail can be "chewy", but this was slow cooked and soft, the rice was delicious, the fish was also very good. Drinks were provided with no ice - just a bottle of room temperature iced tea and a charge of $3.50 (no refills!). It was a Saturday lunchtime and the place was completely empty. Shame because the food was so good! I dinged 1 star because of the service. We were the only ones in the place and despite my asking twice, the food still took 45 minutes to come out. I explained we had to get back on the road, but it didnt seem to make a difference to the young man (I think he looked about 14). Also didnt appreciate the plastic knife and fork or the fact that despite asking the music was blaring, got turned down, and then turned up again 20 minutes later. If were in the area, we would return for this delicious food, but probably do take out.
