2 /5 Breezy Bae: A friend and I selected this restaurant based on the reviews. We arrived shortly after 11am and selected breakfast.
The woman who took our order told us it would be a long wait so we also picked up a cinnamon roll to snack on while we waited. We paid and served ourselves coffee and water. (There is no table service).
The coffee was good as was the cinnamon roll. Good ratio of dough to cinnamon and plenty of icing. It’s a runnier icing but I prefer that over thicker frosting like icings.
When the food came, the eggs, biscuit and bacon were all room temperature. The biscuit was not hot and they didn’t provide butter. The bacon seemed like it was batch cooked and sat in a chafing dish until it was put on the plate. The eggs were cooked to order but still didn’t come out hot. They were out of hashbrowns so we ordered the grits, they were lumpy and flavorless. Even a sprinkle of salt failed to revive them. I would be giving a 1 star save for the cinnamon roll.
The atmosphere is non existent. The place is in a small office building, you sit in what feels like a large office break room. A roll of paper towels sits on the table and you are served with plastic utensils. The cake display shown in photos was not there when we visited.
I can’t for the life of me figure out why this place is so highly rated. If you do try this place, definitely skip the breakfast items.
