5 /5 Kenneth Davis: We were meandering the backroads of Georgia today taking our time and taking in the beautiful scenery. Around 11:00 we started getting hungry and after checking the Google reviews we settled on Lous on Liberty.
We got there before the serving line opened up. Already patrons were in and waiting. We knew this was going to be soul food at its finest. While waiting we got to meet Gary, one of the co-owners of Lous. What a fantastic guy. Lots of fun chatting with him.
Finally, the line was open. I move pretty fast, but several people got up to the serving line before I did.
I ordered the fried chicken and selected cream corn, blackeyed peas, yams and corn bread. My wife ordered ribs, cream corn, butterbeans and hoe cake. We were in heaven. Our conversation stopped while we took in some delicous food. This is elbows on the table kind of eating. You know what I mean? You pick up that delicious fried chicken and you know you are not going to put it down until you have eaten every last morsel off the bone.
Crystal H. (there are two Crystals working here) waited on us and made sure that we had everything we needed. Our tea glasses were kept full - a warm and kind hearted person who made us feel very much at home.
You have a ton of dessert options, but we were so full afterwards that we didnt have room for dessert. But, we did get to try some cookie samples, and any choice would have been excellent.
The menu is posted outside on a chalkboard and inside at the front of the serving line.
This was a delightful dining experience, and one that we will remember for a very long time. Thanks to everyone working there. We had a blast meeting the team and enjoying the food.
