2 /5 Treasure Treece: I have been a server at Longhorn, and know the quality standards that are normally observed. Our server, Elli, was EXCELLENT. Her service was extremely good, and she made sure the issues with our order were heard, and took care of getting our steaks removed from our ticket.
The issues were with the food itself. Our appetizer, the Parmesan crusted spinach dip, was brought out and was barely toasted, and the shredded cheese wasnt even melted under the parm topping.
Then our steaks were COMPLETELY wrong. I ordered the Outlaw ribeye medium rare, and my boyfriend ordered the 6oz Flos filet medium rare. My steak came out medium well and burnt in places, whereas the filet was barely rare. It had no sear to speak of. We decided not to have them redone, as we had already waited for our food to come out once. Anyone should have been able to look at our plates and immediately tell that our steaks were wrong.
Then we found out that the person who brought out our food wasnt a food runner, but a MANAGER. That makes it worse, as a manager acting as expo should NEVER let an order come out looking the way ours did. I wanted to speak to the FOH manager about the situation, but she was on the line and I didnt want to pull her away from helping her HOH. My boyfriend frequents this location and has never seen a steak come out looking the way ours did. This was my first time at this location as I am not from the area, and I was genuinely disappointed with the quality of the food we received.
We will be back, as the table service was excellent and our server was prompt and extremely helpful, but tonights visit in regard to our food was disappointing for Longhorns standards.
