2 /5 Susan Stahler: The only positive here was the waitstaff, who were genuinely kind and doing their best to be attentive. Unfortunately, everything else really needs improvement.
First, the cleanliness. The restaurant didn’t feel well-maintained—there were water-stained and broken ceiling tiles, worn-out booths with no springs, and a women’s bathroom floor that looked like it hadn’t been mopped in a long time. A cleaner, fresher atmosphere would make a huge difference.
Next, the food. The tacos, with absolutely no flavor, were buried under clumps of cheese and far too much sour cream, which completely overpowered the chicken. On top of that, there weren’t any authentic Mexican-style taco options, which was disappointing for a place that calls itself a Mexican restaurant.
Then, the guacamole. This was supposed to be an appetizer, but it was brought out AFTER the meal, without chips, and was so watered down it didn’t even resemble fresh—or even store-bought—guacamole. My family and I couldn’t stomach more than one bite. To their credit, the staff did refund us for it. However, what a disappointment in a dish they claimed was fresh.
Overall, while the staff were decent, the food, atmosphere, and presentation just weren’t there. With some changes—cleaner surroundings, more authentic flavors, and better attention to detail—this place could improve a lot.
