4 /5 Erica Santana: Overall, we had a good experience. The restaurant had a cool look. The outside The potato pancakes were good- crispy on the outside. They had a hint of flavor, but needed more. It was great with the apple sauce. The pretzel was fluffy and soft with very delicious cheese! It was so cheesy and had a distinct taste.
I think in general our problem was the good was bland. My husband had the chicken sandwich and said it was good- the flavor coming from the burnt parts. I got the beef roast- it was good, but it was slathered in gravy. The carrots and potatoes needed seasoning. My son got the chicken schnitzel. It was soggy. The mashy potatoes had a good texture, but needed seasoning. The spaetzle was also soggy- maybe thats how they are supposed to be? I dont know much about German food, but maybe this is how its supposed to taste??
We went back a second time and sat in a different room- there were no TVs and the lights were super bright so we got out food to go. The pretzel was just as good. The french onion soup was okay- probably better there. The mozzarella was not was stretchy/stringy as I remember. It also might not have been mozzarella- not sure.
We also had a piece of German chocolate cake. It was good. The cake was moist and the cream was thick with coconut and nuts!
