1 /5 Denny St. Mimosa: Our group of five dined in the Saturday after Thanksgiving and unfortunately had an all-around 1 star experience that we feel management need be made aware of. I dont leave a poor review in malice but in hopes that ownership/management can step in and save this beautiful space from its reputation before its too late. Upon arrival we were met with a hostess wearing sweatpants and a completely empty and dead quiet restaurant, albeit with lovely golf course views and Christmas decor.
We checked the menu online before going and were excited, only to find 75% of it wasnt actually available. A wine/cocktails menu wasnt provided and when we asked after it, our hostess/server told us there wasnt one, and if we wanted to order drinks wed have to walk to the bar to order because they "didnt know anything about that." We picked up our waters and moved to sit at the bar instead, since no one else was in the restaurant. We ordered a sav blanc, a vodka martini with a twist, and a dirty gin martini -- they had neither limes nor olives and yelled over our heads to check with the kitchen to no avail.. we swapped drinks to compensate for mistakes. Some of our food came out 15 mins late.. obviously forgotten and then rushed incorrectly. The $28.00 steak was abysmal, the grilled cheese did not have melted cheese, and the french fries were greasy and somehow didnt have any potato in them? When we asked for our bill they were confused about who ordered what for the third time. We wont go back, but agree that its a cute venue that could do very well under different circumstances. Someone save this place!
