5 /5 Christopher Sarmiento: Ellijay Wood Fire Pizza is hands down the best pizza spot around, and it has quickly become a favorite destination for my family. We live in Jasper, but it’s absolutely worth the drive every time just to enjoy their food. The moment you walk in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the smell of wood-fired dough let you know you’re in for something special.
Their pizzas are truly outstanding, with a perfect balance of flavor, fresh ingredients, and that unbeatable wood-fired crust. When it comes to red pizzas, our two go-tos are the Spicy Calabrian and the Traditional Grandma. The Calabrian has just the right amount of heat and depth, while the Grandma is a timeless classic done to perfection. On the white pizza side, the local Ellijay Shiitake is a must-try — earthy, flavorful, and a great way to showcase local ingredients.
And while their pizza is enough to keep us coming back, their French onion soup is another star of the menu. Rich, comforting, and perfectly prepared, it’s easily the best we’ve had.
On top of everything, the service is consistently top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes each visit enjoyable. Truly worth the trip every time.
