5 /5 Joseph Sheffield: If you are from Albany, then you know that the sand trap is the most popular club here and to have a bar and grill area is genius. They stay open late in the city with no food open late. The menu is really great, especially for a club. Plenty of space to sit & the line is a lil slow but moves decently when customers know what they want.
Lamb chops were a bit chewy and asparagus was a bit overcooked. Sure you can get a burger, some wings and be safe, but I am appreciative for real meal option.
They can improve with the overall restaurant appearance, cleanliness, Line function. Great prices. I’d close off the kitchen view. I’d hire a few more people for speed, get a Pro Chef, really upgrade it, and I don’t see why this restaurant couldn’t be a top restaurant in all of Albany. They have everything to make it happen, which is why I didn’t drop a star. Bouncing back from the club to the restaurant and back to the club was cool.
When serving club people, it is easy to take your foot off the gas and just give us something to eat, have chef inspired food-high quality and your restaurant will bring in major $$$.
