Butt Hutt BBQ - Athens (GA)

4 /5 Clementhyme Ruby: It was my first time visiting the Butt Hutt and I’ll certainly be back. The service was fantastic. She was prompt, pleasant, helpful and kept my drink filled and table clean. 5/5 on service. The food was overall delicious. The pulled pork was Smokey and delicious. The mild sauce was on point. 5/5 for both the pulled pork and ribs which were so tender! The fried okra was better than expected and would certainly order again. I also ordered stewmac 2/5 score. I am not sure I would order that again, it wasn’t horrible, it just wasn’t my favorite type of Brunswick stew. The idea of the stewmac is fun though. The portions were generous. The menu was fun to read. I will be coming back!

2 /5 Derek Muehlberger: My wife and I love BBQ. Decided to try this place while in Athens. We were seated & had our orders in quickly. Took a while for the food to come out. Noticed that some regulars who came in after us got food way quicker. The meat was cooked well enough but the BBQ is very watery and tastes of mostly vinegar. The color slaw tastes like pickles. Mediocre at best. Wont bother eating there again. There are way better choices for BBQ.

4 /5 Paul W. Peel: I have heard a lot of buzz about this place so I wanted to try it out. The waitress is very friendly and attentive. The food came out fast and was hot. The BBQ was good quality and very tasty. I loved that they offer vinegar based sauce which is not common in Georgia. The only issue is the fries were bland. They have a school lunch vibe. Otherwise it lived up to the hype.

5 /5 David Raddatz: Real down home BBQ, exceptional! Brunswick Stew is worth a meal by its self. Skins were still crackling when brought to the table. Fork tender brisket and flavor filled chopped chicken. Our waitress, Lincoln made the experience unforgettable. Her hospitality and charm made us feel like family.

5 /5 Joan Conner: Food was phenomenal!! As a restaurant owner I am always thrilled when I find gems like this one! Food, atmosphere, service was all 10/10 hands down! We had the ribs and pulled pork, stew, Mac n chz and okra. Every bit of it was delicious!! But yall!! GET THOSE SKINS!!! We brought some home along with an extra serving of stew. We will definitely be back!
