5 /5 E. Lisa (Peachy in Georgia): Don’t let the name fool you, this Bodega is no convenience store, although they do make getting a delicious brunch VERY convenient!
What an amazing little place, tucked away just off the Square in Newnan! Excellent food and drinks, engaging and enthusiastic staff and a wonderfully warm ambiance. Loved the natural wood interior, exposed brick and soft lighting.
Stopped in for a brunch-to-go with my son while on the road a couple weeks ago. We ordered several things that sounded delicious and everything was amazing! Very high-quality ingredients mean very high quality food.
We met the owner, who was a lovely man - congenial and obviously very passionate about the fare at his restaurant. And with good reason! It was wonderful. I had a biscuit with sausage and egg that was anything but simple – such perfect texture with the buttery, flaky biscuit, perfectly golden egg and sweet sausage!!
My son had one of the breakfast sandwiches and it was an amazing blend of textures and flavors, delicious toasted bread, awesome meats and cheese. We even grabbed a slice of quiche which was perfectly cheesy and creamy with a soft crust and just the right amount of density.
I had an iced matcha, which they said was ceremonial grade, and the smoothness of the drink was perfection. My son had a delicious flavored coffee as well.
After we checked out, I noticed a gorgeous carrot cake on the counter. I had to hold myself back from ordering more food! But, the thought of the cream cheese frosting and delicious spice cake that I missed haunts me still, lol.
There is limited seating inside, but we took our food to go. They do have alcohol in addition to the coffee drinks. So, if you wanted a “grown-up beverage,” they have some classic and creative spiked coffees and wine options on the menu too.
Definitely give this place a try if you haven’t stopped in yet. It will make your taste buds happy and impress your family and friends! We live a couple hours away and already I’m wishing I was closer because I’d go back there every week for perfect coffee, awesome biscuits and creamy quiche. And definitely not skip the carrot cake next time!
