5 /5 Sarah: I really don’t understand all the hate this place has been getting. My husband and I went to Backstreet BBQ and ordered a brisket plate, and it was absolutely fabulous. The brisket was tender, flavorful, and clearly fresh. The staff was just as great—super friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The restaurant itself was very clean and had such a nice, cozy environment. They even had a Christmas tree up with Christmas music playing, which made the atmosphere even better. We had a great experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend giving this place a fair chance!

1 /5 Dear Normally X: If you’re looking for edible BBQ, do not go here… I ordered their chicken plate and my god the chicken looked raw and overcooked at the same time. No seasoning. Just bland. These beans were thicker than gravy.

1 /5 Justin Kurtz: Ordered brisket plate with beans and slaw to go ($17). Repeated the sides a second time. Got home and guess what I was given? Stew and slaw. No thanks. Brisket was well below average. Tasted like someone poured a bottle of liquid smoke over the meat. The meat tended towards the dry side. Much prefer Bar-H brisket. Can’t see myself returning.

4 /5 Beauti FAHT: Wow. I am impressed. You get such great portions at a really good price. No wonder the line is always down the street for this place. Plus the folks that work in there treated everyone with kindness and friendliness.
