Pastor Rick Hermann is a dynamic, energetic leader who takes Christ outside the walls of his church. FBC has a lovely sanctuary, warm members, relevant Bible –based preaching, and a blended worship that makes worship such a pleasant experience.

R H Out of all churches we visited in green county, Calvary Baptist church was the church we visited and within four months joined and was baptized. People are very friendly and pastor Bobby Bear is without a doubt best preacher weve ever known. His sermons and study groups are bible based and rich in his understanding of Gods word. As one of our members says "Calvary Baptist is the best kept secret in green county!"

I really enjoyed it! Somebody who has not gone to church in years. I will argue that this is the place to come if you’re looking to get back into the Christianity realm.

Eir Beir I might be biased, but I serve here. I love this church. It is an enjoyable experience and it is different than any other church I have been to (and I have been to quite a few in this area abd Athens). It is small enough to be able to connect with a group of people, but large enough that you will not stick out if you are new. They are very welcoming to people who are different and have a variety of backgrounds. I feel like they are non judgemental. This church focuses on guest and the guest experience and everything they do is intentional. I find the messages to be more instructional than traditional churches. Again, I may be biased, but I have been here many years and I have love it.

The children do say in with everyone while the service is going on but if your child is having a off day dont worry about what they will think. They will give you a sweet smile and tell you storys of when their children had off days. Everyone is all so nice.
