Payton Schubert Great guys! Would defiantly recommend these guys if you are having any issues with your vehicle. Took my 2010 vw cc in for a check engine light and coolant gauge not working. After only having it there for a day Dixon called me saying it was fixed and ready to pick up. I also paid way less than I was expecting. I cannot explain how thankful I am for these guys help.

B. Gloria “Glo” Had my Volkswagen passat wagon picked up weeks ago to find out whats going on with wiring and fuel line, They did tell me in advance they had a couple of projects ahead of me but I still had it towed in for when they were ready to service it. Did a great job got it back a week later just a minor issue. Not Expensive at all.

Sonny Jhaveri It’s May be case of mis diagnose, but I’m the one who had to comes up with around $640 & my 2012 VW CC still have same problem. While I was driving my car, suddenly my panel light up like fire works,(the pic with 19 trip miles). So I tried to look for good repair shop & I see all 5star on Dixon’s Automotive, so I decided to give them my car for repairing on 8/21/18. Long story short they says (all details are in invoice) I need new turbo & speed sensor & battery are May be at fault to show all warning lights. Fast forward to few days for repair & when done on 8/24/18, they have change the turbo (which I supply & he inspect & said it will work) & speed sensor. And recommend to change battery. I happily paid $ 641.00 even though they didn’t take off scanning charges. Next day 8/25/18,I went to Auto Zone, where he told me that your CCA needs 540 & you have 620 CCA, so you are ok with your battery. Fine. So I start for Cornelia to see my cousin. When I reach commerce, ALL WARNING LIGHTS COMES BACK & my heart sink to … On 8/27/18 I went back to Dixon’s Automotive & he told me that I need new battery & it will take care of it, so I said fine put one in. When he called me in the late afternoon, he said that, even with the new battery, now we find that you need sensor on the right side(see the invoice;), & we find 2-3 more fault, we have to take care. At this point I lost my trust in their ability to diagnose & repair(at least my VW CC ). So I said please take the battery off & let me take my car & I left with SOUR FEELINGS OF LOOSING MY $640. Don’t take me wrong, Mr. Dixon was all gentleman he can be(1 star for that), but I was looking for good repair shop & fixing of my VW CC & wanted to drive out without any warning light. May be this was one of the bad mishap BUT I FEEL I LOST MY HARD EARN $$$ because of their mis diagnose or mis repair.

Amaro Dubois Y’all! There’s no other shop in town and around Athens GA area that you would trust the most. These guys are amazing and above all they are trustworthy. Whatever you have, a vintage car or sport new car, Wendell and TJ are really cool guys and they are willing to help you with the mist of information possible and honesty. In this car environment, that is all we need to have, a mechanic that we can trust and honor their word. They have absolutely done a beautiful job on my 2010 Mitsubishi lancer GTS Sportback. So, bring all the cars to them. They will take care of you in a style. Thank you so much boys!

Jarrett Rutledge Put a holley sniper kit on my 1988 w100. This is a great crew of guys. Took their time and had me stressing with how long it took, but in the end it was worth every penny. Wendel made my project his own and did not settle for anything less than perfection. Redid my entire chewed and melted wiring harness and turned an old worn out engine into damn near show ready. Could not speak higher of them.

Jeff Smith I paid Danielsville tire to fix a front differential on my Jeep and afterwards was told Jeep needed valve cover gaskets. Let’s just say I had to pay someone $9000.00 to fix what Allen Jackson and his side kick to screw my vehicle up and ended up needing a new motor. Also all other work he performed has failed. Please folks choose wisely and get references. These guys only know tires and patches. Do not let these guys do any major repairs. They are incompetent to do large jobs.

charlie gooden Nice guys. Great work. Update: after inspecting my receipt, I noticed I was charged $40 to patch a $55 tire that cost $15 to mount and balance. Upon inquiry, I was cheerfully informed that it was $40 to patch, $20 to plug. Ponder that if you care to.

Destiny Giles I wish I could give this place 0 stars but to review it they have to get 1 even though not even 1 star is earned. This place has kept my husbands truck for months and in the end its in worst shape than before we brought it to them. They appear clueless and dont even perform the simplest tests to see whats wrong with the truck. They just guess and perform unnecessary work. 2000 dollars, and 5 months the end result is basically they dont know whats wrong with it and pretty sure they blew the motor since the truck wont crank now. Gonna have to get it towed to a shop who knows what theyre doing I guess. Dont use these incompetent mechanics !

B The price for an oil change was great. The employees, and I assume I met the owner, were very nice. I would have given 5 stars if the wait were shorter and their office where we were invited to wait were free of the overwhelming, bitter cigarette smoke odor. They warned us it would be a long wait because they already had a car on their one lift, so they had to wait for my vehicle to cool down before changing the oil. Im not sure why the mileage they put on the oil change sticker was only around 2k miles more than what my vehicle currently is at. That is very low compared to how long I typically go between changes and may have been an error. It was a beautiful day, so we were able to wait outside and my kids played Simon Says and raced in the grass. Make sure if you plan to come that you call ahead and ask how long the wait will be. They told me I could come on when I called, but they didnt mention the wait on the phone. If you cant be around smoke, wear mosquito repellent or pants and sleeves, bring a lawn chair if you cant stand for long periods of time. Bring something to do or read either way, and especially bring a kids activity if you have kids with you. Bubbles would be great. Im glad I tried this place, aside from the wait and the smoke they have great customer service and they do accept cards. I will just plan better next time. If you found this review helpful, please give it a thumbs up! Thanks!

Kendra Bullard Im wanting to give a huge thank you, and 5-Star recommendation to Mark Dry, owner of Dryve Automotive! Weve been looking for a really good mechanic since our former mechanic had retired. Recently, I searched previous posts on here regarding the topic of recommended mechanics. Marks name came up quite a few times. I was compelled to reach out to him for our vehicle maintenance/repair needs. From the beginning to the end of getting our vehicle repaired/serviced, we have felt comfortable and confident in Marks skill and ability as a mechanic. His knowledge, straight forwardness, and patience with educating his customers on mechanical matters is priceless. If theres an issue that arises after repairs, he will go above and beyond to make corrections as needed. Hes a one man show, and holds every aspect of his business and exchange with his customers to a high standard! If youre looking for a locally, family owned mechanic business, look no further than Dryve Automotive!
