Tony Bryant: My spouse and I were referred to this office by an attorney from a different area, so we were looking forward to getting things started. However, the OFFICE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. I immediately shared that I wanted to set up an appointment because my spouses sister had passed away and left a child for me and my spouse, and we simply wanted to make it official by filing for custody. The receptionist asked for my name and phone number, which I gave. She then asked where I was from, which I shared. Subsequently, she started asking for other peoples names, and I shared that I would prefer to set up the appointment so that my spouse and I could share everything at once since it was "his" sisters child, and he simply asked me to call and set up the appointment for him. She said "Ill just have someone call back" and hung up on me. I honestly thought I had gotten disconnected, so I called back since 1. didnt have a name for who I spoke to to give to my husband, and 2. I didnt want her to think "I" hung up without properly ending the call. When I called, a different person answered, and I explained that I think we were cut off, and I didnt get a chance to ask for the name of the person that my husband could expect a call from. She shared that there were only 2 people in the office. She then transferred me. Once the original person came on the phone I shared that we must have been disconnected. She very angrily said, "Well you wanted to be difficult". I told her that was not my intention, and shared that I was confused. I then asked if she was angry because I wanted to let my husband handle/share at the appointment. She hung up, again. That is when I realized that the first time was a "hang up" as well. I shared names and phone numbers. I shared that we had been referred, the reason we desired counsel/what was going on, and that I would like to set up an apointment. It was as if she was having a tantrum because I shared that since it was my husbands sister who passed, he had way more knowledge and would go into further specifics at the appointment. I am a Teacher and my spouse is a Minister, so trust me when I tell you that I have experienced all kinds of people in all kinds of settings, but not EVER have I experienced the level of unprofessionalism that was displayed by this office staff. The most unsettling part is that they seemed quite comfortable with their level of rudeness and disrespect, so I question is it "the norm". I tend to be a pretty mellow, soft spoken person, so as a potential client, I am blown away. Please note that this is no reflection on any of the attorneys because we never met them. We realize, as with any organization, that if we used this firm, we would have further "dealings" with the office staff.... not interested.

M S: Was treated very unprofessionally by the associate Drake at this firm. Did not respond to my emails after initially offering to represent me for $600. Followed up with him a week later after not receiving reply emails and he was short, said it was 10:00 a.m. on a Monday and acted as if I was bothering him (this was a week after he told me he would look at my email and follow up). I then called the firm to leave a voicemail for Mike Weinstein, whom has actually represented me in the past, to leave a voicemail to find out if I could be represented or not. Drake call me back immediately and said that the receptionist claimed I called with "an attitude" asking for Mike. Very bizarre interactions and poor treatment from this firm

Allen L. Lacey Jr. Attorney at Law - Commerce
Angela Jones: We used Allen Lacey for a closing in February 2021. From day one I was not impressed with this Law Firm, but the person we were buying the house recommended him so that was fine with us. Year and a half later we have to communicate with Allen Lacey to get additional information for closing where we are now selling the property. The whole office was shut down for a week with no contact, so we had to wait until they returned to the office, therefore we had to postpone our closing. As I read over Mr. Laceys email to our new closing attorney, Mr. Lacey had reported to them that we owe a substantial amount of money still and applied late fees to that loan. At that point, I emailed Mr. Lacey and asked what the late fee was and why did he state we owe that money? He replied back saying the maturity date was 4/2/21 --- no explanation, no nothing --. I then called his office, Mr. Lacey answered the phone, he is rude and sounds like you are bothering him every time I call. I then ask if he would please explain to me why he shows us owing a late fee and a loan that was already paid off. He was short tempered and gave no explanation and basically just went in circles with no help. I asked him if he would please respond back to the email and inform the new attorneys that we do not owe anything on that loan and definitely not a late fee. He never agreed to do so. I then had my husband call and apparently Mr. Lacey had made a mistake and never recorded the loan as being paid off. We all make mistakes and I completely understand that but being rude is never the answer at any place of business especially when a woman is calling and treated as if she doesnt know anything. Funny how when a lady calls he was augmented and not helpful and then when a man calls and request the same thing, Mr. Lacey changes his attitude. I do NOT recommend this lawn firm, not based on just this episode but from the whole experience with him the past year and a half. Upset Client

Barbara Seymour-Piedilato: Penny was truly amazing! I communicated with her about a will. She answered all of my questions and gave me examples that helped me make good decisions about what I wanted to do with my assets upon my departure from this earth. I am so happy that my friend recommended her to me.
