SouthState Bank - Clarkesville Isaac Elias: I used Community bank and stuck with them into South State bank all through highschool and much of college. However my experience with them today is a stark reminder of why I left them for USAA after joining the military. Went to cash federal bonds today, something that is possible at ANY federally backed bank and is even stated as such on the federal governments website for cashing and purchasing bonds. They refuse to do so here unless you have an account with them, even though it is a government document and not a mere paycheck. The next bank I went to did it without question like they are mandated to do as a federally backed financial institution.
