OneMain Financial - Covington adrian mitchell: I had one of the most frustrating and sketchy experiences with this loan company. At first, they claimed their system wouldn’t allow them to process my application and had to call someone else. Then, after I asked for an email confirming it couldn’t be processed, I suddenly got a message saying my loan was approved and ready for closing.
After going through the entire closing process, I tried to sign the final document over 40 times with no success. Each time I called, the phone just rang and no one answered. When I finally reached someone, I was told the system was “processing.” The next day, I called from opening until 1 p.m. before anyone picked up—only to be told that because I couldn’t sign the emailed document, my application was withdrawn.
So essentially, the loan was withdrawn not because I missed a step, but because their system failed and no one could be bothered to help me resolve it despite multiple calls. The entire process felt unprofessional, unreliable, and misleading. I would strongly caution others against going through what I did.
