1 /5 Matt Walker: Dont let the 4+ stars fool you - they hassle you as you come in the door to hijack your social media to share their posts and give themselves good reviews. Seriously, they have taken phones from the hands of patrons to do this over and over again. This is not a place you want to contribute your money to beyond the most basic membership. Consistently, I have witnessed and been at the receiving end of some extremely rude staff (one time, I brought a guest in who was from Mexico - he spoke with an accent, and someone at the front desk, instead of ID, asked for his passport. Crazy!), and it is almost constantly crowded beyond reason, basic things like sanitation towels or bathroom supplies dont stay stocked, any given night, you can smell weed in the locker room, but all that aside... the way they structure personal training is just shy of fraudulent or criminal. My personal trainer left Crunch (likely of how poorly they treated him) and so when I went to ensure I wouldnt be charged for training anymore, they said "sorry, you have to keep paying for training." For a trainer that quit! When I asked to speak to manager, one of the employees had the nerve to hand me a 30 day promo card and say "I cant help you, call that number or something" and just walked away, ignoring me. Not even to mention the way the staff speaks - R-rated language, racial slurs on more than one occasion, etc.
This gym is one of the better ones nearby, equipment-wise, but this sort of this really makes it not worth it. Im sure they will respond to this review trying to justify their behavior, but I encourage you to reach out to me directly and I will give you all the details. I have screenshots and evidence that would make you second guess membership. I wish I could say "they wont get another dollar from me" but the fraud operation they have going on is going to continue taking from folks despite pulling the rug out from underneath them. Shame.
