1 /5 Jonathan Jones: Stephen doesn’t do his job. Dropped the ball on a claim for my house. Wouldn’t help. Even tho I called him several times and was suppose to get a call back. Never did. Month later still no call. Been a customer 13 1/2 years with him and he treats his customers as such. Not somebody I plan to keep doing business with. Seems when his sister left the company a few years ago. It went down hill bad. Stephen doesn’t do anything he tells you he’s gonna do. No call back no help no nothing but yet he’s my agent. Not for long tho . … I would suggest any in town over coffee insurance

Henry Gut: I was looking to get insurance quotes for home and auto, and I chose the Austin Taylor group because they were near by. I had been getting Internet quotes which left me frustrated. I went to the office as a walk-in, and was seen by Deb Hroblak. She took my basic information and listened to what I needed. The next day she contacted me with what she had to offer, which wasnt quite acceptable. We made a scheduled appointment, and while we were discussing what she had found, she came across a company with an auto policy acceptable to my needs and price. She also found a home policy I accepted. Had she not had the expertise and determination to not give up, I wouldnt be happy today with the 2 great policies which are saving me money and peace of mind. Fox Fire: Jay Harvey is a scam sales man. We were promised covered that wasnt reflected, when Helene hit we found out that we werent despite the multiple conversations. When pressed he said "it wont be an issue no one else has mentioned anything" Well going off the reviews and other factors seems like it took long than a couple weeks for people to discover they were scammed by this office. If you want to be in financial debt and know what its like to have an unprofessional sales man, who will under insure you to make the price more appealing and then convenient lose all evidence of it then Jay Harvey and staff is your person cause they will make sure their family suffers so they can feel successful at the end of the day and sleep like a baby afterwards. Its honestly disgusting, and not that hard. You look at what the customer has ACTUALLY LOOK! and then go off covered. You might think "well theres more to it than that". Well when you look at a double story double car garage that is DETACHED FROM THE MAIN HOUSE and is told so, and say "yeah thats covered under the main house insurance" only to find out its barely 30k in coverage. Well you dont have to be a genius to maybe question the dynamics of insurance if the garage isnt ACTUALLY part of the insurance. If youre gonna put your name on the door, you should know what your selling. Dont make my familys mistake, Trusting your family and home to Jay Harvey and his staff will fill you with regret and be another story of insurance coverage gone wrong.

Blanchard & Calhoun Insurance Agency - Augusta

Beth Christian: We have been with Blanchard & Calhoun insurance for over 8 years now. Never had a claim or anything but normal service from them. But since the storm on September 27th. we have had nothing but trouble with them. Theyre underwriter (Western World) has denied our claim. They said damage was due to flood water. The damage can from high winds. This is another story that Im going to take up with the Georgia insurance Commission. But Blanchard & Calhoun has not done anything to help. They have not put any pressure that I know of to get Western World to reevaluate our claim. Because of the poor service from Blanchard & Calhoun I have decided to change insurance companies. The new company wants a Loss Runs report (I do not know what it is, but they want one). Ive asked both Blanchard & Calhoun and Western World for one but neither one will supply one. Each claims the other one, both saying it the other company that should be getting it. I dont have any bad feelings about Blanchard & Calhoun but feel they arent doing their job. But Western World is a poor excuse for a company, and I will need to hire a lawyer and am going to file a formal complaint with the Georgia insurance Commission. If anyone has Western World as their insurance carrier, they need to think about it LONG and HARD.
