1 /5 Xavier Sneary: Was connected to him through a web service meant for speeding tickets, OTR. While he *eventually* took the case somewhat seriously, you could tell he simply did not care about my wifes case. Im sure if he replies to this itll be similarly dismissive as he does to others who review negatively, but it is true that he is ridiculously hard to get a hold of to actually discuss your case. He initially did almost nothing to get charges lowered and had to essentially be begged to do more, by my mother-in-law calling and myself sending a complaint to OTR for his lack of interest and communication.
Most recently, we discovered that my wifes license had been suspended since Oct. 2024. Mr. Carter had wrapped up the case and taken the check for the bond payment at the beginning of 2024. He neglected to inform us that there would be an additional fine payable to the state for the "super speeder" offense, leading to a suspension for nonpayment. I had to call the Cook County clerk for more information, and they were shocked that an attorney would fail to mention this after explaining it to me. While it may seem insignificant, she could have been arrested, jailed, and/or had her car impounded for driving with a suspended license.
Maybe hes better with other types of cases, or maybe he just didnt like us or the service through which he was contracted, OTR. However, Id never want to deal with him again. Were grateful that he eventually did his job but it shouldnt come down to begging for someone to do a service that youre paying them to do.
Edit to reply: I don’t need a thorough response or answer from you concerning my wife’s case, I’m not including her name. I spoke to Stephanie regarding the matter and got some of what I needed to figure out things on my own. This review is solely to document our experience for others to see. I probably wouldn’t have even written one if it weren’t for your negligence in not informing us of the super speeder fine that led to her having a suspended license.
