1 /5 Jessica King: If I could give zero stars, I would.
Working with Blue Trust was one of the most disappointing professional experiences I’ve ever had.
My family and I were placed into high-fee, underperforming funds that were clearly not in our best interest. In fact, my grandmother (90), my father (70), and myself (37) were all placed in the exact same funds. We only realized that once we got an independent financial review with different advisors. We were repeatedly upsold on unnecessary products, and when concerns were raised, no accountability was taken. Communication was poor, records were disorganized, and even after leaving the firm, we are still having to clean up issues they created, including incomplete documentation and missing information. Mindy, in particular, was very negative toward me and failed to take accountability for issues that arose. This is not just about a difference in investment strategy, but there was a clear failure in fiduciary responsibility and professionalism. Once my grandmother passed away and we had to start dealing with them from an estate standpoint, things got even worse. Things moved extremely slowly and it appeared that every decisions was money-driven on the part of the advisor.
I would strongly caution anyone considering working with Blue Trust.
