1 /5 LeVaun Scott: I strongly recommend finding another gym. I initially chose this location because it was close to home. At first, things seemed promising—the owner was transparent about pricing and policies, so I opted for the no-contract plan that allowed cancellation at any time.
Unfortunately, red flags started appearing quickly. One day while I was working out, the entire gym smelled like fried chicken. When I brought it up, the owner laughed it off. This is a fitness space—people come here to improve their health, and that environment didn’t reflect that.
I was also promised a session with the in-house trainer at sign-up, which never happened. That promise turned out to be false. Another concern was that the owners themselves didn’t appear to prioritize fitness, which made it hard to feel inspired or supported. The equipment is very basic but that was okay.
The biggest issue came when I tried to cancel my membership after two months. I was told to contact the owner’s wife, who never returned my call. When I followed up, I was told to come in and fill out paperwork, which then required me to send an email to confirm cancellation. I never received a response—and was charged for another month.
This experience left me feeling frustrated and misled. I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision.
