Mae Watkins Have had auto and homeowners coverage with Georgia Farm Bureau for a number of years on and off since 2004 most recently from the year 2017 to 2024. However, for some unexplainable reason there have been a number of accounting errors from the member services team stemming from application of my auto premium payment to an incorrect vehicle. It took getting my bank involved in order to determine what happened and then forwarding a copy of the cancelled check to validate that a refund was owed. When the refund check arrived, it was made payable to my pay on death beneficiary who has no policy with GFB and lives in a different city altogether. Their explanation for the error was that they assumed that I had passed away so the check was issued to the beneficiary without a certified copy of a death certificate. Additionally, it takes them an extraordinary amount of time to correct an issue. Not to mention the fact that the premium on the correct vehicle was coming due during this period so I ended up having to acquire coverage with another carrier. Any time they screw up on an issue, there is either a late fee applied to your account or a $15 admin fee applied. When I did receive the refund a $15 charge had been deducted. Needless to say I am not pleased. Not only did they create the problem but they had full use of the funds throughout the months it took to get this resolved. Another issue involved the premium for homeowners coverage which had been paid via credit card. Well four months later, they reversed the charge to the credit card due to a fraud report that was not in effect at the time the charge was initiated. I have never known an institution to handle accounting entries the way this company does. I have always had very good experience with GFB over the years; however, I am having a very difficult time understanding what is going on in their back office. Life is hard enough without members having to be subjected to such horrible experiences.

Ruthella Burden When I go in here to pay my bill the ladies are always very nice to me take care of me very well speak to me in a very kind way always thanked me for my business and tell me to have a nice day and I tell them to have a nice day too. I have been doing business here since the 80s and I have always been happy with Farm Bureau. They are a great company and have always lived up to their name. They have never let me down when its come to my claims and taking care of my car and my home I am very happy with this company.

Jason Kennedy Joel Saxons office will sit down and review your coverage whenever you have time and make it a point to check in with you every few months to make sure he (and American Family) are meeting your needs. Joel was able to save me over 400.00 on my insurance while getting me better coverage than I had previously just by reviewing my existing policy. I get the impression he cares about people much more than he cares about money which is quite a nice change.

We were there for 2 hours, but we discussed health, life, car, renters, boat, and business insurance. They answered every single question we had, and we found out we were being overcharged for several of our insurances. Called today @rougly 11:30AM interested in getting a holistic quote for the family to include my wife, I and 19-year-old son who is attending college. I heard that auto-owners was an insurance carrier that was one that was affordable for those that are adding 19-year-olds but this agency represents many. I am a currently with another carrier that wants $440 per month additionally. We have great credit, no violations or claims, current defensive driving and straight A student. I spoke with a representative "Kathy" who informed me that she would need a declaration from my current carrier, and I shared that I want to compare what they advised I should have. I mentioned that I am just looking for what they recommend and not a comparison to what I currently have as I believed that I was over insured. She informed me that I could not have enough insurance, and she would not be able to quote without a declaration and she would not be able to help me. I felt like this is just another sales pitch of not being able to tell us what we need but what they want to sell us. I have had this tactic the same with home repairs as the contractors providing the estimate as you if you have had other estimates and they want to see them. With respect to over insuring, I have full coverage on a 2006 Toyota Sienna. Why would I continue this coverage when my vehicle is only worth roughly 2K. If you have collision or comprehensive, there is a good chance that the damage would be more than the car is worth compared to the cost of repair, hence the insurance company would total the car and give me the 2K rather than repair. Im paying for coverage I dont need so would liability, uninsured motorist and riders not be a viable consideration? I called Whorton Agency based on great Google reviews, but what I found was a horrible customer experience. The large reason I sought out an agency vs. just an online or direct quote was in the hopes for someone to build a relationship with, someone to share options, I was less than impressed. I am happy to say that there are other agencies in Carroll County that are more empathic, and I found one that aligned to my financial needs and needed coverage. My advice, shy away from matter of fact non emphatic pushy representatives when you find them and move to the next on the list. There are still good ones out there and I now have coverage for the fam!
